With spring comes outdoor grilling — and what better to grill than burgers? Looking for something different to use to top our burgers, we whipped up a batch of simple guacamole to dress up the burgers with a new flavor.
Use a microplane or garlic press to get the garlic minced small enough that no large chunks are present in the guacamole.

1 ripe avocado, peeled and chopped
1 tablespoon finely chopped sweet yellow onion
1 clove garlic, finely minced
1/2 tablespoon fresh cilantro, minced
2 teaspoons fresh lime juice
pinch of salt
Place all ingredients in a small mixing bowl and mash until mostly smooth. Serve immediately.

Guacamole is one of my favorite hamburger condiments! My husband thinks I’m crazy, but I’ll take it over ketchup any day…
Hi There,
I have added you to my rather extensive blogroll at http://www.recipegirl.com/2007/07/05/noteworthy-blogs/
However, they are arranged geographically and I wasn’t sure where you blog from. Care to share what state or country you blog from so I can put you in the appropriate place? Thx!
[...] Made this guac is probably less than 10 minutes. Super easy and satisfying!! Check out the recipe. The only little challenge I had with this recipe was knowing if the avocado was too ripe or not. [...]
I love a good guac on my burger. Glad to see there’s others out there that feel the same way.
The guacamole looks like the perfect touch on that burger! I’ll have to try it like this some time.
i usually add tomato and chilli peppers to guacamole, and i serve with fruits.
